Question:
We have found a perfect place for installation. The signal was good.
But when we glued the radiator and conduct the cable into the driver’s
cab the signal was lost. We have only 1,9V on the blue wire. Is it a
break of the cable?
Answer:
Please check the connectors: radiator-extension cable and extension
cable-processing box. Check if the processing box connected to the
right end of the extension cable. Here should be the end with 3 rubber
rings on the connector. If you have used another end of the cable the
connector might has a backlash and the contact is lost.
Question:
We have installed the radiator strictly according to the manual:
cleaned the surface with an abrasive, defatted it and put some water
on the radiator working surface. In the test mode the analog output
(the green wire) had 9,6V, but in the measuring mode it shows only
1,3V. The same is in several places. Is this correct?
Answer: For
the beginning you should know the height of your tank and the height
of the fuel inside. If your tank height is 40cm and this was set
correctly by the micro switches and the fuel level is 6 cm then you
get correct data.
It is easy to calculate: for example, the height of the tank is 80cm,
max voltage in the Test mode is 8V, the fuel level is 60cm. So the
voltage in the measuring mode should be calculated (8: 80)х 60= 6. So
if the voltage on the analog output is close to 6V the place for the
installation has been chosen correctly and you get the real level.
Question:
We have installed the radiator in a winter time. Firstly we put some
water on the radiator, then the water has frozen and we used a
lubricant. But we have not got any signal. On the other hand when we
put the radiator in diesel the green LED on the processing box stared
blinking. Is the radiator defective?
Answer: No,
the radiator is in order. The problem is subzero temperature. You
should use non-frozen liquids to provide the acoustic contact: for
example, engine oil, diesel or the liquid which is used for cleaning
the windshield in winter time.
Question:
Yesterday we tried to install the radiator on the VOLVO B80M. The tank
is made of plastic, probably glass fiber. We check a lot of places on
the tank bottom but no signal at all. However on a bucket, barrel and
plastic bottle it works. What could be the reason of the problem?
Answer: If
the tank has an uneven surface inside it is typical for glass fiber.
The ultrasonic signal beam is dispersing in such materials. It works
like a diffuser. Unfortunately for this kind of tanks other
fuel-levels should be used.
Question:
In FlashReaderUser.exe program the bookmark "Configuration" is not
available. What could be a reason? I've updated the drivers and
EIA-485 port was connected without any problem.
Answer: The
problem could be in the chosen COM port and baud rate. You should
check if the COM port is not occupied by another program. If there is
no free port you should choose it manually. Check which baud rate is
chosen? Choose 19200.
Question:
I’ve run “Oscilloscope” program and pressed the radiator to a bottom
of a bottle with mineral water. There are no any reaction of the
oscilloscope. Does J10(25)ULM work with water?
Answer:
J10(25)ULM works with water as well as with other liquids. Please do
the following:
1. Turn the device in the Test mode by sliding the micro switch 1 of
the processing box in the position 1.
2. Set the measuring height = 30cm (the micro switch 2, 3 and 4 in
position 1).
3. Connect theUSB-485 (reader) to the port 2 of the processing box
and to USB socket out your PC.
4. Connect the connector of the extension cable with 3 rubber rings
to the processing box, another connector with 1 rubber ring connect to
the radiator cable.
5. Supply power (red cable (+), black cable (-).
6. Put some water or gel or oil over the working surface of the
radiator and press to the bottle
bottom. The bottle bottom should be flat and in horizontal position.
7. Run “Oscilloscope” program.
8. Open the port and press the red button in the left top corner of
the program window.
9. Now the picture should be displayed.
Question:
We want to measure liquidized gas. Do we need a special version of
J10(25)ULM? Is it different from gasoline version of J10(25)ULM?
Answer:
J10(25)ULM system is universal. The only thing that should be done is
to make settings via a special program and USB-485(reader). You can
buy the USB-485 (reader) from us; all the programs will be supplied
for free. In the manual of USB-485 (reader) you could find full
information about the setting of the fuel type as well as about other
settings.
